YAY for PB&J!!!!

There is nothing special going on in this picture...except that every second with this beautiful girl is special to me. She is growing so quickly and it makes me proud, excited, sad, and scared all at the same time.

Shoes.

Here is the story that goes with this picture. Once upon a time it was bedtime for a beautiful princess named Zawadi. She was wearing her new shoes and did not want to take them off. Her mean Mommy took them off and put them on the nightstand. Two hours later her Mommy went to check on her and found her with the shoes on, sound asleep. Good news is, she got them on the right feet :-)

Big girl bed.

Zawadi pretty much decided on her own that she was done sleeping in the crib.

It all started at daycare where she has just recently transitioned from the Pack 'N Play to a mat for naptime. She has been so proud of herself and tells me about it every day when I pick her up. Well one night I went to put her to sleep and she told me, "Wanna sleep in the bed, on a mat," and refused to lay down. I wasn't in the mood for fighting so I put her to sleep in our bed. She did fine and we moved her to her crib when we went up. The next night we had a repeat performance so I took her crib mattress out and put it on the floor to make a "bed." She went to sleep no problem.

I could tell the crib was not going to be an option so I hopped on craigslist and found this adorable sleigh bed for $30. We went to pick it up Saturday afternoon and Saturday night she slept in it for the first time. Clyde was gone so I put her to bed myself and when I closed her door I just sat outside her room feeling mixed feelings. I am so proud of her and the million new things she learns each day, but it is so hard to watch her grow up so quickly.

She made it til 2 am when she woke up screaming and came in our bed for a bit. Clyde carried her back in and she stayed til morning. She took two naps in it no problem on Sunday. BUUUUTTTT.....when I went to see if she had woken up from her afternoon nap, I discovered her sitting on her bed with her baby oil trying to open it. Uh oh! Before we put her to bed I moved anything I thought she could get to with her new freedom.

Baby Zoe!

Clyde's friends Jerry and Toya are expecting a baby girl soon so we were invited to a shower to help them celebrate. Clyde's dad was here visiting, so it was great to have all of our family and friends together. There were lots of kids running around and delicious food and cupcakes to eat. We had a great time and can't wait to meet baby Zoe.
