Tummy time!

We always talk about how blessed we are to have Leah and Matthew watching Zawadi for us. Opening pictures like this is the middle of my work day only reinforce that fact.

Thanks Bunny!

The beautiful spring weather meant trying on all of Zawadi's spring clothes and having a photo shoot, lol. Thank you Aunt Leah and Bunny for letting us borrow these two beautiful dresses and adorabale shoes.

New toys are so much fun

We bought Zawadi an exersaucer and even though her legs are too short to reach the bottom, she absolutely loves sitting in it. She already has a favorite toy - bright orange and yellow sunshine we named Sammy. She spent 20 minutes smiling and talking to him and was mad when I pulled her out to get dressed for the day.

No cavities here.

Zawadi is learning good hygiene at an early age :-) She got fussy one morning while we were trying to get ready so I gave her my toothbrush and she was occupied for a long time. She put it in her hair and on her nose and then she finally found her way to her mouth.

Double date

On Thursday we met up with Jada and co. to check out the big sale at the outlet malls and grab some dinner. We found an exersaucer for Zawadi and she loves it already. It was great to hang out with Gina and Alan and it is always a treat to see Jada. She was wide awake this time and we got lots of attention in Chili's. One waitress even asked if the girls were twins. We are so glad Zawadi will have yet another playmate and hope the girls stay good friends as they grow up.

Cousins

Logan finally entered this world and we are so excited for Zawadi to have another cousin so close in age to grow up with. We went to visit when they came home from the hospital and Logan was even more adorable than the pictures had let on. We put them in the pack 'n play for a photo op, and Zawadi looked so big. Logan slept through the whole thing like a champ, despite Zawadi's kicking and punching.

Sittin up like a big girl

We had been storing our Bumbo seat at my parents' house until Zawadi could sit in it, but with the way she has been holding her head up for so long now, we knew she was just about ready. On Sunday we went to visit and gave it a shot and saw that it definitely won't be long now. She has turned into quite an independent woman and loves to be sitting up and looking around at the world. Gone are the days of snuggling on my neck and chest.

Bug and Bunny.

Aunt Leah and Uncle Matthew babysat for us last Saturday night so we could have a night together and they could practice for their first week of babysitting. As you can see from the picture Zawadi loved being there and Bunny was great about sharing her toys. Monday morning they went on to conquer their first day with the girls, and it went even better than expected. The rest of the week was the same. Bunny is learning each day how to be more gentle, and I cry a little less each morning before dropping her off. Clyde and I feel so blessed that Leah and Matthew wanted to take on this big task for us - I don't know how I would have been able to leave her at a daycare. We love that the girls are having the opportunity to play and grow together and we wish the Nickoloff's were staying in the area next year. Road trips here we come!
