Olivia turns 1!

SHIKA!!

One day after daycare Zawadi slipped up and then caught her self when she said, "Aunt Shika...MOMMY!" I said, "WHAT?! What is my name?" and so started the game. She now thinks it's hilarious to call me all kinds of names...Shika, Gina, Daddy, Booker, you name it.

Happy Birthday McKenna!

She knows she's beautiful.

Zawadi is such a great little helper, both inside and outside. Here she is (dressed by Daddy), helping clean headlights and wash Mommy's car. She totally got it, filling up the bucket, spraying the car, and then washing it with the rag. I am wondering if we can hire her out if times get tough?

Snikroc for ice cream and blueberries.

Goodberry's!

Goodberry's is not my favorite - I would prefer a creamie from a stand. Unfortunately, the closest soft serve to us is about 25 minutes away, so we have to find other places to get ice cream. Goodberry's is only 10 minutes down the road, and Zawadi seems to like it just fine. This was her first time getting her very own cup to eat like a big girl, and overall she did a great job. We had a few drips here and there, but no major spills or messes! After we finished eating, I gave her some pennies to throw in the fountain. She loved doing it, of course, and after I ran out of pennies we switched to nickels. When those were gone, we called it a day, lol.

Happy 4th!

Brier Creek had a 4th of July celebration on Saturday, the 2nd. I wanted to take Zawadi to see how she did with the fireworks before we got together with Clyde's family on the 4th. We had a picnic dinner while we waited for things to begin. When she heard the first firework, she told me "more!" I was so glad she wasn't afraid, considering she is still scared of the vacuum and the electric mixer, lol. As the fireworks continued, she quickly grew bored with them and wanted to play in the car and pretend to drive instead. She did peek her head out for the finale. I was disappointed, but I am still glad she wasn't scared.
