Did you eat too much or is there a baby in there?

Clyde and I had two Thanksgiving dinners this year. I blame my stomach on all the extra turkey :-) First we went to my parents and had homemade chex mix, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, squash, cranberry bread, banana bread, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and chocolate chip cookies. Then we went to Gerald and Amanda's for round two. Yum! Zawadi loved it all!

Assembly Required

You go to dinner and a movie for a romantic evening. We put together furniture. :-) Clyde and I have spent our recent nights and weekends assembling baby things. It was a lot of work but we are finished. Our crib, changing table, rocker glider, high chair, swing, and stroller are ready for Zawadi. All the more reason for her to come on out!

Happy Birthday to you!

December 1 was Clyde's 27th birthday so we met up with family and friends at Shiki (of course) for sushi and cake. It was lots of fun and we ate too much, like always. Clyde was hoping Zawadi would be born on his birthday but it looks like she wanted to wait and have her own special day to celebrate. 3 1/2 weeks to go!

Our beautiful shower.

On Sunday our friends and family threw us a wonderful baby shower at the Broad Street Cafe. It was everything we could have asked for and more. The food was delicious, the decorations were adorable, and the gifts were never ending. We are so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives and we can't wait for Zawadi to meet everyone. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone from all three of us.

Meow.

Everyone in the family is ready for Zawadi to come out and play. Bo has recently been keeping her clothes warm for her (or maybe just hiding from the dogs). 49 days and counting - the big day can't get here fast enough.

Sisters.

Clyde and I went to a costume party at Gina and Alan's. Our costumes, especially Clyde's, may be offensive, and for that I apologize. We did, however, get a lot of laughs. And Clyde did develop a greater understanding for what I go through each day. He complained that he couldn't see his feet and that it took him 30 minutes just to go to the bathroom. Welcome to my world hunny :-). It was great, and I may make him pull out the inflatable belly the next time I'm having a particularly pregnant day.

Sweet Pea

Clyde and I got to witness Abby eating peas. This was much more exciting than it may sound, lol. She seemed to enjoy them, and it was too cute that the bib she was wearing at the time happened to read Sweet Pea. Sweet Pea had peas in her ears and neck when she was finished, but she managed to get enough in her belly to fill her up, and she didn't throw the spoon at Leah even once. We have so much to look forward to as parents-to-be.

30 Weeks and Growing. Yikes.

As promised, here are some more belly pictures. I am 30 weeks here. 10 more to go and getting bigger by the day.

Baby clothes are too much fun!

My aunt and uncle sent us a musical bear and Zawadi's first pair of shoes. Glitter, lace, and lots of pink - she is definitely going to be a girly-girl. Above are a few of her first outfits that she will be able to wear after she is born. I can already picture her zipped in tight and snuggled in my arms.

The nursery is coming along, step by step....

Even if nothing else is ready, at least Zawadi has a place to sleep if she comes early :-) Clyde worked hard setting the crib up and realized that drinking and building furniture is not always the best combination, lol. We both liked this setting best out of all of the ones in Babies R Us. (Don't mind the upside down quilt, it's fixed now.)

Abigail

Last Friday we went to the Nickoloff's for a delicious dinner, a rousing game of Pass the Pigs, and lots of quality Bunny Time. Clyde looks like a natural in this pic, but Abby makes it easy. She is such a beautiful, alert, precious little girl and every time I see her she makes me more excited to be a mommy. Leah and Matthew have been such a great support system throughout our pregnancy and I can't wait for our little girls to 'play' together.

I wish.

Oh, how I long for the days when my belly was this small, lol. I felt huge at the time, but apparently I had no idea what huge was really like. This was around 18 weeks, at at 27 now I look nothing like this. I had to break down and buy a few maternity shirts, a pair of maternity jeans, and a bella-band, which has been a life saver. If I am feeling brave I will post some new tummy pictures, but don't count on it, lol.

It's a girl!!!

Our first ultrasound was amazing, but nothing could top this one when the tech promised us with 100% accuracy that we were having a baby girl. We had had her name picked out for months, but we couldn't come up with any boys names, so I think it was fate. Now I am just counting down the days until I get to hold my baby girl.

I caved.....

Well, I swore up and down I would never create any sort of blog, and that people who blogged had too much time on their hands. However, when you're pregnant and bored and it's raining and your fiance is watching football with his boys, blogging doesn't sound so bad. :-) Plus, I know how much I love looking at Abby's pictures and videos and I am hoping you guys will be that excited about Zawadi when she arrives. Bear with me though, I am just learning how this whole blog thing works. If you're lucky, I will figure out how to post a few ultrasound and belly pics before December 27th.
