Meet Emma.
Yes, Clyde and I were crazy enough to add another dog to our family. She was rescued from a shelter so we don't know much about her past, but she is everything we could want in a dog. She is so sweet, she is already learning to sit, and she gets along great with the other animals and Zawadi. We are guessing she was an outside most of her short life, so she is still working on house training and walking on a leash, but she is a quick learner and tries so hard. Now if I can just find a way to keep the house clean with 3 dogs, a cat, and a toddler!!

Downstairs playroom.
Clyde and I did a little rearranging...we brought a bookshelf up to our room, brought another one in from the garage, moved Booker's crate downstairs, and set up a table with a TV in the front room. Zawadi immediately called it her TV, and loves her "downstairs playroom."
We aren't really sure what we want to do with the room - den, playroom, office? Right now it's a mixture of mismatched furniture but it works for Z. She can color at the desk, create beautiful music on her piano, or relax and watch Dora. It will be nice when her friends come 0ver - they will have their own space without having to be upstairs unsupervised.
Booker also likes his crate being downstairs. I love it because he doesn't have to bark incessantly from upstairs every day when I get home to let me know he's still there, lol.

My lil monkey.
I came into the kitchen one day to find Zawadi climbing in the pantry. When I asked her what she was doing, she simply responded, "I just wanted some fruit snacks Mommy." Duh, silly me. Why else would a two year old be climbing shelves, lol. Needless to say, she found them and ate them and asked for more.
